Kenneth Bunker es profesor asociado del Departamento de Economía y Gobierno, y director del Laboratorio de Democracia y Gobierno, de la Universidad de San Sebastián. Es Doctor en Ciencia Política de la London School of Economics, y Máster en Ciencias Políticas por San Diego State University.
Su trabajo académico ha estado relacionado principalmente con los sistemas electorales, los partidos políticos y las elecciones en las nuevas democracias, y ha sido publicado en algunas de las principales revistas de ciencia política. También ha ocupado puestos de profesor visitante en la Universidad Sapienza y en la Universidad de Milán (Italia).
