Andrés Mendiburo es profesor asociado de la Facultad de Educación y Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Andrés Bello. Es Doctor en Psicología por la Universidad del País Vasco.
Se dedica a la investigación en comunicación política, especialmente a la intersección entre humor político, emociones, discurso de odio e incivilidad online. Ha sido investigador responsable de un proyecto FONDECYT de iniciación y uno regular, terminado en 2025. Su trabajo ha sido publicado en diferentes revistas de alto impacto, como Group Processes & Intergroup Relations y Journal of Happiness Studies.
